22. Will AI Ever Be Conscious?
This paper provides links to my work on the topic of whether computers (AI) will ever be conscious. My answer: “not necessarily” (minimum), “probably not” (moderate), or “no” (max).
A brute fact is when you have one alternative against other possibilities (i.e. it could have been this or that something)-- or at minimum, 1 something against the non-foreclosed counter-factual of absolute nothing instead. Is "always" a brute fact? No. The opposite of brute: the absolute!
This paper explains why defining Nothing and Always within formal logic is a category error. It also refutes a quasi-review of the ep conjecture, in devastating fashion.
